What is an EIN?

An EIN stands for Employer Identification Number.  This is a number which the IRS requires you to have when you file tax returns for a corporation and for employee purposes. In addition, most banks will not allow you to open a bank account unless you have this number. You must have an EIN to run a business. An EIN must be obtained for an LLC as well as a corporation.

Even if you already have an EIN as a sole proprietor, this number is not usable for the new corporation or LLC.  You must obtain a new one.

If you nave elected to have us provide it to you. CORP95 will provide a completed EIN application form for you and will obtain the EIN number from the IRS immediately upon the filing of your Articles of Incorporation.
